Organic Food
Conventional food is clearly not as healthy as Organic Food as it contains lots of harmful chemicals and additives which can have a disastrous impact on health. Conventional food producers usually succumb to their greed for money and try to meet the ever-increasing demand for the food products by using excessive chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides.
The dangers of consuming conventional food are evident from the fact that even a simple Pear contains approximately 40 pesticides, and that’s after it has been washed.
As the time progresses, the quality of foods that we eat deteriorates. An Orange consumed in today’s times will not have the same nutrition (especially the amount of Vitamin C) as the Orange that was consumed during the Pre World War II era.
On average, a typical Organic Food product is 50% more nutritious and healthier as compared to its non-organic counterpart.
Conventional meat is laden with harmful chemicals and GM’s as typical farms feed artificially prepared food to the animals, deteriorating the animal’s health as well as the quality of meat that is eventually going to come from that animal. Also, animals in battery farms are forced to live in crowded and stressful conditions, leading to poor health and an increased risk to diseases.
Finding the right quality Organic food may take up some of your time and cost you a little more money than the Non-Organic produce; but in the end it’s all worth it as nothing in the world is more important than your health and well-being.
Furthermore, Conventional Food contains some really harmful chemicals (e.g. Sulphur dioxide) that can cause a number of diseases such as:
- Obesity
- Cancer
- Abnormal Birth
- Fertility Issues
